Some children thought the crumble was a bit tart (a bit sharp/sour in taste) but others thought it was just right and wanted seconds!

During DT, Year 3 were learning that we have to import some foods from other countries. Then, the children baked a fruit crumble using seasonal British fruits.

Year 3 created Healthy Fruit Kebabs in DT this week.
The children explored where the different fruits originated and could explain why some fruits need to be imported due to the growing conditions in various climates.
The children are learning about Nutrition and Balanced Diets in Science lessons and know why vitamins and minerals are essential for our health.

Year 3 completed their Drawing with Charcoal art unit by creating Cave Paintings. The children replicated scenes from their History unit: The Stone Age. They enjoyed making cross-curricular links with life during Prehistoric times.

Year 3 celebrated Odd Socks Day! This was a national event all about celebrating what makes someone unique!

Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed their creative workshop about climate justice and the impact of changing climate on communities around the world 🌍
Year 3 created artwork using seed paper and contributed to a ‘Tree of Messages’ capturing their concerns and hopes about the climate crisis.
The children’s work is currently on display in @southwark_cathedral and will then be exhibited at the Houses of Parliament in early 2025.
